Welcome to the Central Maui Boys & Girls Club webpage.  Our mission is: "to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens."

The Club offers 5 core program areas that we emphasize with our youth/teens. They are:
 
Career & Education

Power Hour Points!
  • Power Hour: comprehensive homework help and tutoring program.

  • Project Learn: comprehensive educational enhancement.

  • Technology Room: NetSmartz and educational software.

  • Job Shadow: takes teens into the community and experience a variety of career opportunities.

Character & Leadership Development 
  • Keystone Club: (14-17) Program helps develop good character and positive leadership skills.

  • Torch Club: (11-13) A powerful vehicle for promoting good character among its members and throughout the Club.

  • Community Service: all members help with Club Clean-up on a daily basis as well as highway clean-up and ground beautification.
 
 

Health & Life Skills

  • Passport to Manhood: (11-14) A program for promoting positive values and responsible behavior in boys

  • SMART Moves/ SMART Leaders: A national prevention program that helps young people avoid four of the most immediate threats to their well-being: alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and early pregnancy.

  • SMART Moves- Tobacco Education: an outreach prevention program based upon the SMART Moves curriculum that focuses on educating youth on the dangers of cigarettes and other tobacco products.

Sports, Fitness & Recreation 

  • Outdoor Recreation: flag football, sham-battle, basketball, swimming and softball

  • Indoor Recreation/ Tournaments: pool, ping pong, foosball and bumper pool

  • Weight Training/Fitness (13-17 only)

  • Club Leagues: all the Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui compete against each other in different sporting activities such as flag football, basketball and softball

  • Teen Dances

  • Excursions/Field Trips: Movies, the mall, the Maui Ocean Center, and many other different places

Here are some additional information about our Central Club that you may find of use to you:
  • We accept youths ages 9-17 years old

  • Membership is $5 individual/ $10 for a family with 2 or more members for the whole year (July-June)

  • We do offer scholarship programs

  • We offer youth transportation with MEO Youth Transportation free of charge to and from the club.

  • We currently have over 400 members enrolled and average between 80-100 kids per day

  • We are currently running operations in our new 2.3 million dollar building

  • We do run on an "Open Door" policy
